What is Kuttawa Cannonball Run?
Mission Statement
The Kuttawa Cannonball Run is a charitable recreational boating event dedicated to bringing together the boating community to support meaningful causes throughout Lyon, Trigg, and Vanderburgh counties. Organized through our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Midwest Powerboat Corporation, the event exists to promote fellowship, tourism, and charitable giving while creating a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.
The Kuttawa Cannonball Run is not a race or speed competition. Participants travel at their own pace to designated marinas and waterfront destinations, collecting tokens throughout the day that are later entered into prize drawings and giveaways at the main event tent. There are no timed runs, competitive heats, start or finish lines, or awards based on speed or performance.
Our mission is to create a positive and family-friendly atmosphere that supports local marinas, businesses, and surrounding communities while raising funds and awareness for a variety of charitable organizations. All monetary proceeds collected through the event directly benefit charities serving Lyon, Trigg, and Vanderburgh counties.
Above all, we are committed to promoting safe and responsible boating, strengthening community relationships, and ensuring the Kuttawa Cannonball Run continues to make a lasting impact both on and off the water.
